What the Cooking Surface Is

A tri-ply pan, meaning stainless steel layers around an aluminum core, with a laser-etched pattern of raised stainless steel hexagons. The low areas between the hexagons hold TerraBond, HexClad's ceramic nonstick coating.

Earlier HexClad Hybrid pans used a PTFE coating, so check which version you have.

What the Brand Says About PFAS

HexClad says its TerraBond ceramic nonstick coating is "PFAS-free" and "free from PTFE and forever chemicals."

Published Test Results

HexClad's product page shows PFAS results it says were verified by a third-party lab, covering PTFE, PFOA, PFOS, PFNA, PFBS, and other PFAS, all below detection limits.

The page does not name the lab, give a test date, or say which pan sizes were tested.

Heat and Care

HexClad states the pan is oven-safe up to 900 °F (482 °C), and that it can be used with metal utensils and washed in the dishwasher.

We have not tested this product ourselves. This profile summarizes what the brand publishes and what independent labs have reported.
